The 2019 women's golf schedule started this past week and College of the Desert has taken the early lead through two rounds of Orange Empire Conference play.

Irvine Valley College freshman Katie Stribling earned medalist honors for the second consecutive Orange Empire Conference women's golf match, posting a 2-over-par 72 on the Mesa Linda course at the Costa Mesa Country Club on Wednesday. She edged Fullerton sophomore Eunsoo Jeon by two strokes and Saddleback sophomores Brittney Do and Tannaz Khazeni by four strokes.
