The margin of victory for the Gauchos shrunk from 31 strokes a week ago to 19 strokes this week as Fullerton was able to finish second with a score of 346 while Mt. San Antonio College finished third at 349.
Saddleback was paced by Sunhae Son at 4-over 76 while Brittney Do added a 79 and freshman Anna Stowers posted an 83. Fullerton gave chase with Eunsoo Jeon posting a 1-over-par 73 to earn individual medalist honors. Hornet teammate Natalie Widjaja added a 79. Mackenzie Kelly posted a 77 for Mt. San Antonio College.
Katie Stribling of Irvine Valley College posted a 76 to share individual runner-up honors with Saddleback's Son.
The win gave two-time defending conference champion Saddleback a four-win lead over Mt. San Antonio in the conference standings and a lead of five wins over Fullerton.
All OEC teams will play on Monday at the El Prado golf course in Chino during a neutral-site match.
