The Irvine Valley women's golf team captured its second state championship in three years as the Lasers posted a two-day team total of 628 to easily run away with the title on Tuesday at Temecula Creek Inn.
The Lasers went undefeated en route to the 2012 Orange Empire Conference Championship while Kate Cho and Sally Kim were named Co-Players of the Year.
Irvine Valley College freshman Sally Kim was named as the Orange Empire Conference women’s golf Player of the Year on Wednesday following the final round of the two-day, 36-hole conference championship event.
