In a championship rematch from last year between the Fullerton College and Sierra College women, Fullerton once again had the upper hand, defeating Sierra 5-2 and earning their second State title in as many years.
The #3 Hornets were big winners on Saturday over #4 Orange Coast College beating the Pirates 5-1 to win the Southern California title for the second consecutive season.
The Orange Coast College women's tennis team is picking the right time to play its best tennis of the season. Led by a solid start in doubles and strong depth in singles, the Pirates upset top-seeded College of the Desert, 5-4, in the Southern California Dual playoff semifinals on Tuesday.
