Santiago Canyon College won the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) state championship with a 2-0 victory over San Diego Mesa College on Sunday in Cupertino, California. It was the second straight title for SCC and the fourth in the history of the program.
The women’s soccer season is heading into the post-season and it was announced that five programs from the Orange Empire Conference were chosen to play in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs. In addition, Cypress College led the conference with eight all-conference selections.
The season has reached the halfway point and a number of teams from the Orange Empire Conference look as if they have a shot at winning the OEC title. Four teams appear in the top-20 in the rankings heading into the conference schedule.
The 2019 women’s soccer season is ready to kick off, which means it is time for the Orange Empire Conference sports information directors to cast their ballots.
