All-Conference Awards Announced

Saddleback College swept the all-conference awards this year after capturing the 2017 Orange Empire Conference women's golf title on the first day of November.

Saddleback freshman Brittney Do was named the conference's Player of the Year after posting a conference-best 77.1 scoring average over the course of the conference schedule and Gaucho head coach Bob Bosanko was named as the conference Coach of the Year for the second straight season.  Saddleback sophomore Deanna Pagaduan also made the first-team all-conference list after averaging 82.9 strokes while Tannaz Khazeni (87.1) and Brooke Yafckli (87.7) topped the second-team all-conference list.

Irvine Valley also had two first-team all-conference selections in Kylie Sok - runner-up for Player of the Year honors with a season average of 78.7 - and Vera Yuan - runner-up to Do at the conference championship event who averaged 82.3 strokes during the season.  Laser sophomore Akie Sanomiya (88.6) earned second-team all-conference honors.

Fullerton's Eunsoo (Kaylee) Jeon (78.9) was third in overall scoring on the season and also earned first-team all-conference honors while Hornet teammate Gwen Bates (88.0) earned second-team honors.  Mt. San Antonio's Mackenzie Kelly (82.4) rounded out the first-team all-conference squad while Mountie teammates Brianna Pulido (88.3) and Ryanne Broughton (90.1) each earned second-team all-conference recognition.
