Matsumoto repeats as conference MVP

College of the Desert sophomore Fumika Matsumoto repeated as the Orange Empire Conference MVP in 2015 after averaging 76.7 strokes per round and being named the event medalist in five of the 12 conference rounds this season, including the conference's only round under par when she shot a 69 on the par-72 El Prado course.

As a freshman in 2014 Matsumoto was also named medalist in five of the 12 rounds, averaging 74.5 strokes per round.  She also posted last year's only round under par.  

Mt. San Antonio sophomore Sarah Juelch and Irvine Valley sophomore Rebecca Peng repeated as all-conference players this season when both players made the first-team all-conference list.  Juelch was a first-team selection last year as a freshman while Peng was a second-team pick last season.

Joining them on the first-team all-conference list are Hyerin Kim of Irvine Valley, Kabrea Rosas and Yi Chen Tsai of College of the Desert, Mt. San Antonio's Victoria Rodarte, and Emily Lewis of Orange Coast College.

Being named to the second-team all-conference list this year are Marissa Valencia and Tiffany Lin of Mt. San Antonio, Amanda Arnold and Jane Lee of Mt. San Jacinto, Dana Zapanta and Kelsey Hetrick of Palomar, Melanie Stark of Cuyamaca, and Haley Shadid of Saddleback.
