Fullerton College has qualified for the CCCAA women’s golf state championship tournament for the first time in school history after finishing second at the Southern Regional held November 10-11 at the Alisal Ranch course in Solvang.
The top four teams in the Orange Empire Conference and six individuals who are not on those teams have qualified to advance to the Southern California regional championship on the River Course at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Solvang this Sunday and Monday, November 10-11.
Palomar College sophomore Sadye Busby and Fullerton College freshman Kacy Kaichi shared the individual medalist honors at the Orange Empire Conference championship held this week at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course. Both players finished the 36-hole championship with a 13-over-par 159.
Palomar College sophomore women’s golfer Sadye Busby was named as this year’s Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year after leading the Comets to the conference title with a 74-3 record in their first season in the new conference.
