Irvine Valley’s Washington Named Player of the Year, IVC’s Hanks Named Coach of the Year

After being named a 2018-19 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) First-Team All-Conference honoree, sophomore guard Anai Washington has been named the OEC Most Valuable Player following an incredible season. IVC Head Coach Julie Hanks reels in her second-consecutive OEC Coach of the Year award to highlight this year’s 2019-20 All-OEC teams.

Washington's 32 points leads basketball team to key victory

Irvine Valley's women's basketball team used a dominant third quarter to pull away from Santa Ana and capture a 77-59 Orange Empire Conference victory at home Tuesday night. The victory moved the Lasers to within a win of earning at least a share of the conference title. Irvine Valley, ranked No. 5 in the state, improved its record to 21-2 overall and 9-0 in conference.
