Chargers No-Hit Golden West in Back-to-Back Games for the First Time in Cypress History
The Cypress Chargers (15-6, 13-5 OEC) hosted Golden West (0-22, 0-22 OEC) Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader. Cypress no-hit the Rustlers in back-to-back games and became the first team in Chargers history to complete this feat.

GAME 1
Alyssa Huerta (3-for-3, 3 RBI) was perfect for her second game in a row and scored three runs for Cypress. Aubry New (2-for-3) led the way for the Chargers with four RBIs. Eliza Sandoval (W, 7-1) did it all for Cypress throwing 5.0 shutout innings and giving up zero hits to notch her first no-hitter as a Charger. Jazmine Rodriguez led the offensive push for the Rustlers after getting on base for Golden West in the first and third innings.
The Chargers started their scoring run in the first inning when Alyssa Huerta tripled to center field, scoring Paige Shafer (2-for-4, 1 RBI). Alyssa Huerta scored after Emily Adkison (1-for-3, 1 RBI) singled to center field. The Chargers entered the third inning leading 4-0. Aubry New earned four RBI's in the third and fourth innings doing her early damage at the plate. In the third, Aubrey singled to center field notching two RBI's scoring Eliza Sandoval (1-for-2) and Camryn Addimando (1-for-2). During the first game, Eliza Sandoval faced 19 batters, striking out six, and earning her first no-hitter as a Cypress Charger. The Chargers won the first game of the afternoon, 11-0.
GAME 2
Paige Shafer (4-for-5. 2 RBI), Camryn Addimando (2-for-4), Eliana Mora (2-for-4, 3 RBI) were the offensive force for Cypress scoring three runs each. Emily Adkison (3-for-3) and Eliana Mora led the way for the Chargers with three RBIs followed by Emily Wagenbrenner (1-for-2), Paige Shafer, and Aubry New (2-for-3), who earned two RBIs each.
In the second game, the Chargers put up eight runs in the bottom of the second followed by seven more in the third. Emily Adkison earned her first RBI of the match after flying out to right field in the bottom of the first allowing Alyssa Huerta (2-for-4) to score. In the bottom of the second, Emily Adkison notched her second RBI after singling to center field allowing Paige Shafer to score. Eliana Mora earned two RBIs on one hit in the bottom of the third after doubling to left field allowing Emily Wagenbrenner and Camryn Addimando to score. Aubrey New (5.0 IP) threw a no-hitter after facing 19 batters and striking out four. The Chargers won the second game of the afternoon, 21-0.
