Saddleback and Santa Ana Share Men's Basketball Conference Title

The Gauchos and the Dons finished with identical 10-2 conference records giving them both a piece of the conference title.

With the 2013-14 basketball season coming to an end last Friday, the Santa Ana College Dons and the Saddleback College Gauchos have sliced the symbolic orange of the Orange Empire Conference in half sharing the OEC title. Both teams ended the season with identical conference records of 10-2.

Sweeping the season series (2-0) over the Dons along with an overall record of 24-5, the Gauchos own the rights as the conference's automatic qualifier.  Santa Ana's overall record stands at 16-10.  The Gauchos will be the #5 seed heading into the playoffs and the Dons will be the #17 seed.

The Irvine Valley College Lasers end their regular season with a 10-3 conference record and a 24-4 overall record. They will be the #18 seed heading into the post-season.

Riverside City College will miss the post-season for the first time since the 1987-88 season with an OEC record of 6-6 and a 12-7 overall record.
Orange Coast wrapped up their season going 3-9 in the OEC and 9-20 overall while Cypress and Fullerton tied a 2-10 in conference with the Chargers going 7-20 overall and the Hornets 6-21 overall.
