Sophomore guard Erin Choi played a big role in stunning two higher-seeded teams in the 3C2A SoCal Regionals last week landing the No. 23 Hornets in the SoCal Regional Finals for the first time since the 2009-10 season. In the first round against No. 10 Santa Barbara City, Choi lit up the scoreboard with a career-high 30 points to beat the Vaqueros 70-63. Against No. 7 Mt. San Jacinto last Saturday night, she led the team to a 55-52 victory scoring a team-high 18 points. The Hornets will now play at Irvine Valley this Saturday for a shot to go to the State Tournament. Tipoff is at 7:00 pm.
